Installing Dutch Duck IE History Viewer

System requirements


  • Windows 7, Vista, 2003, XP, or 2000, Internet Explorer 6 or higher.
  • Program does not work on Windows 95, 98, ME or Windows NT 4.0.
  • Administrator rights.
  • Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0. On Vista, this is pre-installed; for XP and 2000 you may need to download it. Search Google for "dotnet 2.0 framework download"; the English version you can download here

Downloading Dutch Duck IE History Viewer

You can download the setup program for Dutch Duck from http://www.dutchduck.com/download/download.aspx.

Installing Dutch Duck

You can install Dutch Duck by running the setup program.

The installation program installs by default in the c:\Program Files\Dutch Duck 4 directory, but during setup you can choose any other directory as well.

Data files created by Dutch Duck

Dutch Duck IE History Viewer stores data files in the Application Data\Dutch Duck directory. This directory is typically in the following place:

  • Windows XP and 2000: c:\Documents and settings\jdoe\local settings\application data\DutchDuck4
  • Windows Vista:C:\Users\jdoe\AppData\Local\DutchDuck4
  • (Assuming your username is jdoe).

How can I find out which directories Dutch Duck uses?

To find out where Dutch Duck is installed, and where it keeps its data files, go to the Tools and Help menu. There is a buttonShow special folders which will show you the path of the program path and the data path.
