Why does Dutch Duck not install any ActiveX controls?

Dutch Duck uses several ActiveX controls, including Sharpgrid and ActiveBar.

However, these controls are not installed on your computer. Instead, they have been compiled into the program file (DutchDuck.exe), using Thinstall.Thinstall uses a "virtual registry", which makes it possible to use ActiveX controls without first registering them on your computer.
